The net gambling market in the UK has doubled in 5 years, with in excess of a million gamblers regularly gambling using the web. According to a poll carried out by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport, British gamblers make up about 1/3rd of the Old World’s approximated total of 3 300 000 online gamblers.
The average amount bet by each gamer is estimated at one thousand pounds, with the European business now worth £3 500 000 000 each year.
Among the 70 web betting casinos in the UK, none are gaming web sites advertising card games like poker and black jack. A better part of the globe’s two thousand online betting casinos are based in places with dubious net betting regulations. Antigua and Costa Rica account for more than 1,000 sites between them.
The Gov’t in the United Kingdom is hoping to introduce practices and a tax setup to manage the operating of the online gaming business. With such regulatory framework in place, online gaming activities would be observed and the industry can hope to acquire even bigger heights in the next few years.
